Allow-List Browser for Library CIPA Programs

Kidsplorer Labs can provide a browser-level allow-list for managed Windows computers. Library staff choose the approved domains and manage profiles and devices from one dashboard.

Know what Kidsplorer controls

Kidsplorer blocks navigation to domains outside the active profile’s approved list. It can add schedules and browser-lock controls on standard Windows accounts, and Labs administrators can assign profiles across shared computers.

The control applies inside Kidsplorer. It does not filter other browsers, all network traffic, or every image hosted on an approved domain. For a full picture, see how Kidsplorer works and what features are in each plan .

Libraries should combine it with appropriate Windows accounts, device management, network protections, supervision, and policy.

Manage multiple public computers

Labs includes:

• bounded batch enrollment codes that expire after 48 hours;
• device, last-seen, sync, and version status;
• multiple approved-site profiles and bulk assignment;
• Windows-login roster assignment;
• CSV import and export for approved-site rules; and
• staff access to the organization dashboard.

Changes reach online devices on their next configuration sync, normally within about a minute. Microsoft Store handles application updates according to Windows and organization policy.

Evaluate CIPA requirements separately

For covered schools and libraries, CIPA involves more than installing a browser. It can include a technology protection measure, an internet safety policy, public notice or hearing, monitoring or supervision practices, and required certifications. Kidsplorer may be evaluated as one browser-level control within an institution’s program. It does not certify that a library is compliant, inspect all content on approved domains, or satisfy organizational duties by itself.
