Safe Browser for School Computer Labs

Kidsplorer manages every computer in your school lab from one admin dashboard. Bulk silent install, whitelist profiles by class, and zero per-device maintenance.

Small private schools, church computer labs, and homeschool co-ops share a common challenge: keeping children on educational sites across multiple computers, with no dedicated IT staff and no budget for enterprise software. Kidsplorer is designed for exactly this environment.

One Admin Dashboard for Every Computer in Your Lab

After installation, every computer running Kidsplorer appears in your admin dashboard. From one browser tab you can:

  • See which devices are online and what version of Kidsplorer they’re running
  • Push whitelist updates to all devices at once
  • Assign different whitelist profiles to different groups (e.g., different grades or subjects)
  • Add or remove devices without visiting them physically

Changes apply to all devices within 60 seconds. You never need to walk from machine to machine.

Bulk Silent Install: Deploy to All Computers at Once

Kidsplorer provides an MSIX installer for Windows that can be deployed silently without user interaction. You can push it via:

  • Group Policy (GPO)
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Any MDM or device management system
  • Manual execution on each machine if the lab is small

After installation, computers register themselves to your admin dashboard automatically. You don’t need to configure each device individually.

Multiple Whitelist Profiles by Class or Grade

Assign different whitelist profiles to different groups of computers. A reading lab might approve library databases and reading tools. A STEM lab might approve coding platforms and science sites. Each profile is managed centrally — update one profile and all computers assigned to it update automatically.

Whitelist-Only Browser: Students Stay on Educational Sites

Students sitting at school computers can only visit the sites in their assigned whitelist profile. There is no open browser access, no incognito mode, and no way to reach YouTube, social media, or gaming sites that aren’t on the approved list.

The browser is locked at the application level. Students on non-admin accounts cannot close Kidsplorer and open a different browser.

Automatic Silent Updates: Install Once, Never Maintain Again

After the initial installation, Kidsplorer updates itself silently every 12 hours. On institutional plans, updates are mandatory — every device in your lab stays on the same current version automatically. You will never receive a request to update software on individual machines.

This is the feature schools and churches cite most often as their primary reason for choosing Kidsplorer.

No IT Staff Required

Kidsplorer is designed to be managed by a teacher, administrator, or church tech volunteer — not an IT professional. If you can manage a website or a spreadsheet, you can manage Kidsplorer’s admin dashboard.

The dashboard shows clear status for every device, uses plain language for every setting, and sends you an email if anything needs attention.
